Louis Vuitton Follwo Up. • NYC

Posted in PERPETUALFORMA® by PerpetualForma on June 27, 2009

These are great shots. Shout out to Risa Pulver…Thank you.

The space/penthouse was relatively small, and that was, in my opinion, largely due to the fact that it was a “by invite only” event. Louis Vuitton did not expect a huge turn out, in fact, I am not sure they wanted a huge turnout, hence the small and very discrete location.

KRIS KUKSI | Great Artist.

I stumbled upon this artist as I was doing some market research. Now this is detail! Apart from the actual art itself, the fact that the art/sculpture is placed in front of a white wall is great. Anytime you mix a cluster of immense detail within a negative space…happens. magic happens.

Louis Vuitton Report ‘-‘

Here are a couple of shots taken at the presentation. Marc Jacobs never lets us down does he? Apart from his limitless talent and ambition, He remains my favorite designer for the unwavering “wow” factor. There is always something rather “black sheepish” about his collection that keeps both his fashion shows, as well as his collection(s) worth wild.

I, on a whim, purchased his Fall ’09 wool sportswear blazer, and I have to admit that I am still waiting for the opportunity to knock it off…straight up. I mean, when it’s right it’s right! I see no problem with “knocking things off” if it’s for the right reason(s). What is the right reason? You know what that is. As a designer, a real designer anyway, you get a gut feeling whenever your treading on thin copyright infringement ice. If you don’t, then that just means you are not “knocking off”…you are drawing inspiration! ahhhhhh!

How sexy are these mannequins?

Remember, this is the cruise collection; see the rope detail.

LOUIS VUITTON • 2009 CRUISE PRESENTATION • NYC

Posted in NETWORKS, PARTIES • EVENTS by PerpetualForma on June 23, 2009

This picture was taken of me out of nowhere! I was invited (V.I.P status…holla back haters!) to the Louis Vuitton cruise collection presentation, and it was dope. I was with my fav client/friend Simone Smith, Claudine of Violator Mgnt, Lora the RTW manager for LV Manhasset. Anyway, I was at the penthouse and out jumps the photographer just’a pointin and shootin away! No time to pose or nothing…WTF dude! The collection is very fitting for it’s season. The accessories featured “hard candy plastic” with rope detailing…perfect construction. The people there were all very sophisticated and whatever, but of course, what’s a party without a couple of ghetto chicks?

These tWO girls, or woman presumably, were so fuc$ing obnoxious dude! They were pacing around back and forth talkin bout “datz hot, datz crazy, ohh sh$t datz so sick yo!”

And here’s the thing okay, you don’t do that at a cocktail party; you just don’t! I mean…come on girls get it together. To top it all off, they joined us (LV, myself, Violator, and Simone) to the dinner afterwards…forget about it!

Posted in NETWORKS, PERPETUALFORMAofJAYEL™ by PerpetualForma on June 23, 2009

Alexander Wang • Fall 2009 Collection.

Posted in DESIGNERS, WOMENSWEAR by PerpetualForma on June 23, 2009

After noticing a bag at New York City’s acclaimed OAK clothing store (NoHo), I have become an avid fan of Alexander Wang. Simply put, his work is amazing. His T-Shirt group is particularly cool. The fact that he was able to reinvent such a basic silhouette is a great triumph, and quite a progressive battle to fight.
